Mother’s Day Gift Guide: For the Pickleball-Loving Mom

Okay… I’m not technically a mom yet. But I’m about 12 weeks away, so this year feels a little different. I was very conscious not to add anything I wouldn’t like myself. Also… I hate clutter.
And my mom definitely doesn’t need any more random junk 🤪. So this isn’t one of those gift guides.

These are things I would actually use—and things I know most pickleball moms will too.

Less clutter. More thoughtful. So this Mother’s Day, skip the generic flowers (okay… maybe keep the flowers 🌸) and give her something she’ll actually use and love on the court.

Here are some of our favorite gift ideas for the pickleball-loving mom (and even pet moms!):

1. A Pickleball Date with You

Honestly… this is the best one and probably her favorite.

Sign up for something together. Show up to our socials (Rodeo themed party this Friday!). Or just go hit and grab brunch after.

Simple. Easy. Actually meaningful.

The best gift is time (and maybe letting her win one, but I wouldn’t 😜).

Our favorite brunch spots:

  • Riverview (not biased)

  • La Joie (new French Cafe)

  • Wilda’s (Buddha bowls!)

  • Making her breakfast (my mom loves breakfast food and not cooking… or cleaning)

2. A Fresh Paddle Upgrade

If she’s been playing with the same paddle for years… it’s time.

A new paddle can instantly boost confidence, control, and power—and let’s be real, moms deserve an upgrade.

Look for:

  • Lightweight feel

  • Elongated or regular depending if they have a 1-handed or 2-handed backhand (2 hands is better!)

  • Her favorite color, if possible

💡 Bonus idea: Pair it with a cute cover or custom cover.

Engage Pickleball (the paddle my mom and I have) is having a huge sale — paddles are 50% off, and you can stack my 20% off code for even more savings. She’ll never know you got such a sweet deal!

Use code: 20browna at checkout

3. Pickleball Bags That Actually Fit Everything

Because somehow… mom is always carrying:

  • paddles

  • water bottles

  • snacks

  • sunscreen

  • everyone else’s stuff

A stylish pickleball bag = practical + thoughtful.

Here are my favorites

  • Backpack: Great for the 3-4x a week player (the one my mom has) use code 20browna for a discount

  • Sling backpacks: Great for the rec player who cares more about fashion over function (the one I got my sister)

  • Tournament Player: Room for everything (the one I use)

4. A Fun Pickleball Shirt (DNA Preferred 😜)

Mom don’t Read this Section!

Some of the items my mom is getting this Mother’s Day.

Shirt Ideas:

If you want to make your own shirt, I use chatgpt then send them to Cali Customs in town. But it’s easier to just grab one from us 😏.

Here is my mom rocking a shirt I custom made her last year (sorry, not for sale)

5. Pickleball Accessories

If she says “I don’t need more clothes”… which my mom has never said, but should.

Think:

Everything in this picture was bought locally from Target, Hobby Lobby, or Homegoods. However, I might have bought all the pickleball items in town 🫣.

6. DNA Gift Card

Help her get that W! My mom loves to win! Does she need to work on her backhand, overhead, or do you both need help getting ready to play in the Redding Classic Tournament next month?

Get her a DNA Gift Card!

It’s not just a gift—it’s:

  • confidence

  • improvement

  • something to look forward to

  • time together

And honestly… a little “mom time” away from everything else.

👉 If you’re local: grab one of our gift cards at Riverview or we can email it to you!

7. Self-Care for Court Queens

If she’s playing a lot… she’s feeling it.

Good recovery gifts that we actually use:

Want to take it to the next level?

8. Pickleball Dog Mom Gift Ideas

And don’t worry—I didn’t forget about the dog moms. You’re included in this too

💐 Happy Mother’s Day from us

Special shoutout to my mom. She is already this best grandma to our furbabies and I know she’ll be a great one to our real baby!

Happy Mother’s Day,

– Amy
